In an effort to promote documented best practices, MCHIP supported the development of an annotated, bibliography of postpartum family planning (PPFP) literature to serve as a reference for both researchers and program managers.

This updated bibliography is an addendum to the 2011 version and mostly represents literature published in the last three years. Forty new entries are included. The literature has been reorganized for this edition, and a new category for prenatal and newborn health has been added.
